Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a 2007 fantasy adventure film, based on the novel of the same name, by J. K. Rowling. Directed by David Yates, it is the fifth film in the popular Harry Potter film series. The story follows Harry Potter entering his fifth year at the magic school Hogwarts. The Ministry of Magic is denying the return of Lord Voldemort and also appoints a new teacher, Dolores Umbridge, a bureaucrat who slowly becomes an authoritarian figure in the school.

The screenplay was written by Michael Goldenberg, who replaced Steve Kloves, writer of the first four films.Live action filming started in February 2006 and finished in the end of November, and post-production on the film continued for several months afterwards. Warner Bros., the distributor of the film, scheduled a UK release date of 12 July 2007, and a U.S. release date of 11 July 2007, both in conventional and IMAX theatres.

It was a critical and commercial success, and was acclaimed by the author, Rowling, who has consistently offered her praise for the film adaptations of her works, and evaluated Order of the Phoenix as "the best one yet" in the series.

Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007)

Favourite Worst Nightmare is the second studio album by Sheffield indie rock band Arctic Monkeys that was first released in Japan on 18 April 2007 before being released around the world. Recorded in East London's Miloco Studios with producers James Ford and Mike Crossey, the album was preceded by the release of new single "Brianstorm" on 16 April 2007. In its first week following release the album sold over 220,000 copies, emulating Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not in going straight to number one in the UK Albums Chart, albeit selling 100,000 copies fewer than their record-breaking debut. Favourite Worst Nightmare's first day sales of 85,000 outsold the rest of the Top 20 combined, while all twelve tracks from the album entered the top 200 of the UK Singles Chart in their own right. In the USA, the album debuted at number seven, selling around 44,000 copies in its first week. The following week the album stayed at #1 but suffered a 65% drop in sales, and then the following week saw the week-on-week sales drop by 50%+ despite still staying at the summit in a poor week for album sales. The album has been nominated for the 2007 Mercury Prize.

1408 DvdRip (2007)

1408 is a 2007 film based on the Stephen King's short story of the same name directed by Swedish film director Mikael Håfström. The cast includes John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson, and Mary McCormack. The film was released in the US on June 22, 2007, although July 13th is mentioned as the release date in the trailer posted on the website. The film has been rated PG-13 for thematic material including disturbing sequences of violence and terror, and frightening images.

Author Mike Enslin's (Cusack) search for the supernatural has come up empty and as a result he's resorted to writing books such as top 10 haunted hotels in which he falsely claims to have had supernatural experiences. Despite the writing of these books his personal belief in the supernatural is far more sceptical. His latest research subject for these books is a hotel room in New York City with an ominous past. In his determination to prove the room's not haunted, Enslin may stumble into a real-life horror story.

Pan's Labyrinth DvdRip (+ English Subs) (2007)

Pan's Labyrinth (Spanish: El Laberinto del Fauno, literally The Labyrinth of the Faun) is an Academy Award-winning Spanish-language fantasy film written and directed by Mexican film-maker Guillermo del Toro. Though the original title referred only to the mythological faun, the English title refers to the faun-like Greek god Pan. Del Toro has stated, however, that the faun featured in the film is not actually Pan. It was produced and distrubuted by Mexican Film Company Esperanto Films

Pan's Labyrinth, set in post-Civil War Spain, tells the story of a girl named Ofelia who is given three tasks by a mysterious faun. Meanwhile, her stepfather, the fascist Captain Vidal, viciously hunts for rebels in the region, and her pregnant mother grows ill. Heavily influenced by fairy tales and considered a spiritual sequel to The Devil's Backbone, the film employed make-up, puppetry, and CGI effects to create its fantasy creatures.

The film, which garnered several Golden Globes and three Academy Awards, premièred at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. It was released in the United Kingdom on November 24, 2006. In the United States and Canada, the film was given a limited release on December 29, 2006, with a nationwide release on January 19, 2007. Pan's Labyrinth has won numerous international awards.

Fall Out Boy - Infinity on High (2007)

Infinity on High is Fall Out Boy's fourth studio album. It is the follow up to their 2005 album From Under the Cork Tree. Originally planned for release at the end of the 2006, it was changed to early 2007. Infinity on High debuted at number-one on the U.S. Billboard 200.

The album name came from a letter Vincent van Gogh wrote that describes his renewed health and the vigor it had instilled in this painting. The line that inspired the title is, "Be clearly aware of the stars and infinity on high. Then life seems almost enchanted after all."

The album mixes the already known Fall Out Boy's emocore/pop punk style with a little R&B and hip-hop. Some magazines describe the album as "post-emo".[citation needed

All of the photography on the album was done by Pamela Littky. The sets on the album artwork were designed by Todd Fjelsted. All of the artwork for the album was designed by Chuck Anderson of NoPattern. Anderson previously designed all of the artwork for the From Autumn to Ashes album, Abandon Your Friends and Less Than Jake's 2006 release, In with the Out Crowd.

Hight School Musical 2 Soundtrack

Hairspray OST (2007)

Hairspray OST

The soundtrack contains 19 songs from the film written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, three of which were not included in the stage musical version. Shaiman, who produced the original cast album for the Broadway musical, produced the songs for the film musical as well. Hairspray's music is written and performed to conform to the story's 1962 setting, with influences spanning the genres of doo-wop, rock and roll, soul, and pop.

"Ladies' Choice", a new song performed by Zac Efron, was the Hairspray soundtrack's first single. The iTunes version of the album includes bonus features such as the bonus track "I Can Wait" (a song written for the film but cut), the "Ladies' Choice" music video, an instructional dance video for "Ladies' Choice", and a digital version of the album booklet. The soundtrack debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 20 and has since peaked at number 2.

"The New Girl in Town", "Big, Blonde and Beautiful" (Reprise), and "Come So Far (Got So Far to Go)" are the three songs new to this version of Hairspray, although "The New Girl in Town" had originally been written for but dropped from the Broadway production. "Come So Far" is played over the film's end credits, as are renditions of two songs from the stage musical which were not included in the film proper: "Cooties" and "Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now". "Cooties" is performed on the soundtrack in a contemporary pop style by singer Aimee Allen. "Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now", is performed by each of the three women most famous portraying Hairspray's main character, Tracy Turnblad: the 1988 film's Ricki Lake, the Broadway production's Marissa Jaret Winokur, and this film's Nikki Blonsky. Harvey Fierstein, who played Edna in the Original Broadway production, also has a vocal cameo at the end of this track.

Several of the songs from the Broadway musical had their lyrics altered and/or verses removed for use in the film version. These songs include "(The Legend of) Miss Baltimore Crabs", "Welcome to the '60s", "Big, Blonde and Beautiful", "Without Love", "(It's) Hairspray", "You Can't Stop the Beat", etc.

The version of "(The Legend of) Miss Baltimore Crabs" that appears on the film's soundtrack album is slightly longer than the one that appears in the film. The movie cuts out Amber's line "Oh, mother. Not more ancient history" and a final exchange where Velma turns away Little Inez who asks to audition.

The White Stripes - White Blood Cells (2001)

Korn - Untitled

White Blood Cells is the third album by American rock band The White Stripes, released in 2001.
The album is considered the band's commercial breakthrough. White Blood
Cells eventually reached #61 on the Billboard 200, going platinum and
selling over 1,000,000 units. The album also reached #58 in the United
Kingdom, being bolstered in both territories by "Fell in Love with a
Girl" and its use of Lego animation in its Michel Gondry-directed music
video. Stylus Magazine rated it the 15th greatest album of 2000-2005.

The album was dedicated to Loretta Lynn, instigating a friendship between
Lynn and both Jack White and Meg White. In 2004, Jack White would
produce Lynn's comeback hit album Van Lear Rose.

Redd Kross bassist Steven Shane McDonald created an online only art project,
titled Redd Blood Cells, in which he added a bass track to the
otherwise bass-less album. The White Stripes arranged with Steven to
take the files down after more than 60,000 downloads.

Korn - Untitled

The untitled eighth studio album by Korn was released in the United States on July 31,
2007, through Virgin Records. The standard edition holds 13 tracks,
while the deluxe edition contains 14 tracks ("Sing Sorrow" as the bonus
track). The disc was released without a title, in what vocalist
Jonathan Davis reasons as "why not just let our fans call it whatever
they wanna call it?" On message boards, retail sites, and fan sites,
the album has commonly been referenced to by such titles as 8, Korn
(not to be confused with the band's self-titled debut album), Korn II,
Korn 2007, and Untitled.

The untitled affair was the second studio album without former guitarist
Brian "Head" Welch as well as the second studio disc to be co-written
and produced by Atticus Ross and The Matrix (though The Matrix left
early during the project). The album has been described as more
atmospheric, heavy, and at times progressive. Davis comments that the
disc draws from influences by The Cure and The Beatles [2]. It's also
the first album to not feature the group's founding drummer David
Silveria at all.

Red Hot Chili Peppers -Red Hot Chili Peppers (1984)

Korn - Untitled

The Red Hot Chili Peppers is Californian funk-rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers' self-titled debut album, released in 1984, and produced by Gang of Four guitarist Andy Gill.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers struck a deal with EMI records. However,
the band that guitarist Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack Irons were also
in (called What Is This?) struck a deal with MCA records two week prior to that and so were
unable to play with the band. The Chili Peppers found replacements with
former Weirdos drummer Cliff Martinez and studio guitarist Jack Sherman.

The recording of the album was not a smooth process. Andy Gill and
the band fought over creative issues, with Gill directing them towards
a more "radio-friendly" sound. The Red Hot Chili Peppers was released with the Chili Peppers disappointed in the production. It failed to chart in the Billboard Hot 200.

They went on tour to support the record but the rest of the band did
not get along with Sherman. They only earned about $500 each from that
tour. Both albums, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Squeezed by What Is This? did not do well, so Jack Sherman was fired from the Peppers and Hillel Slovak returned to perform on Freaky Styley, the Chili Peppers' second album.

In Kiedis' autobiography Scar Tissue,
he says that he was demolished when he saw that Gill had wrote the word
"shit" next to the title of the song "Police Helicopter" on a notepad
as it was one of the first songs they had written and in Kiedis' words
"It embodied the spirit of the band which was the kinetic, stabbing,
angular, shocking assault force of sound and energy".

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Freaky Styley (1985)

Korn - Untitled

Freaky Styley is the second album by Red Hot Chili Peppers, released in 1985 through EMI America. It saw the band back with original guitarist Hillel Slovak. It had four singles: "Jungle Man", "American Ghost Dance", "Catholic School Girls Rule", and "Hollywood (Africa)". The cover artwork features the band jumping infront of Michelangelo's Last Judgment.

It was produced by George Clinton of P-Funk (who were a major influence on the Chili Peppers) fame and featured a full horn section, with Flea actually being a part. It never dented the Billboard Top 200, and most professional critics ignored it completely and have, in most cases, continued to do so.

The track "Yertle the Turtle" uses several verses directly from Dr. Seuss' poem of the same name, "Yertle the Turtle".
